curry273 rides aboard a one-of-a-kind - 1965 Airstream Land Yacht - that was originally commissioned by the USAF as an airfield service trailer. After searching hundreds of food truck/trailer candidates, John found this unicorn on February 14, 2026. This is the only Airstream that we are aware of that has the door on the driver side, and thusly, allowing for the curbside to function solely as the concession window. At about the same time John found the trailer, he also found two abandoned jalousie windows at the Hot Springs trash/recycling center. He knew immediately how they would fit.
On his drive to Colorado to fetch the 20’ Land Yacht - aka “Valerie,” aka “Bluffco1” - he envisioned the curry273 galley pretty much exactly as it works today. Upon arrival in Colorado, John found the well-loved & well-kept 61-year-old Airstream in very good shape for the journey home to WNC . . . and perfectly suited for the journey beyond as a mobile food unit.
curry273 holds a professional LPG fry line & griddle supported by significant on-board refrigeration. John made an early decision to pursue battery-power for the galley . . . and Joule-Case answered the call. The result is a high-volume currywurst operation fit into a small footprint that runs quietly . . . and without unsavory noise & fumes. The resulting galley is spacious , efficient and comfortable.
